Intro Blog

My name is Daniel Arroyo, I am currently a senior attending Fort Lauderdale High School and come from an immigrant family from Mexico. Was born and grew up mostly in South Florida. I'm fluent in both English and Spanish, I'm close to my culture cause of this most of my hobbies are related to this since I know how to dance nortenas which is a regional Mexican dance from where I'm from, and other dances too but I'm not so good at those as I am to nortenas. I have only been to Mexico once but the time I have been there it really inspired me to continue to my goals like Yair Rodríguez who is a UFC fighter from my parents home town. Some of my interests are watching and analyzing UFC fights, playing basketball and watching the NBA, producing music, car enthusiast, and being into shoes/clothing. I've been watching the UFC since the bout between Nate Diaz and Connor McGregor in UFC 196 and ever since I have been a fanatic for the sport and planning to learn Muay Thai in the future. Basketball played a massive role in my life even if I don't play it that often now it really shaped me into who I am today. I got into playing basketball when I watched a mixtape of Derrick Rose highlights when he was in the Chicago Bulls during his MVP season and it inspired me after a career-ending injury he continued to play even if he wasn't the best no more. It showed me that I don't have to be the best at something to enjoy it. Same with Russell Westbrook with his quote "I say, 'Why not' to everything." which to me holds a heavy meaning of why not. I'm not the best at producing music but it's something that I spend my free time doing since it's something that I enjoy. What I love about creating music is that you can do whatever idea comes to music you can do it as long as you know how to do it, and the only downside to that is that there would always be something new to learn. Ever since I was young I've always been into cars and still am. It can be for any sort of media and I'll consume it as long as it contains any type of car imma watch it with my whole attention. My love for cars started when I was young and saw my uncle watching the Fast and Furious. The movie's portrayal of sleek, iconic vehicles and their design, made me develop a passion for cars as a piece of art. With me interpreting cars as a piece of art I also see that in the world of shoes/clothing. The artistry behind some shoes/clothing pieces and their uniqueness of makes me relate it back to cars. To appreciate their style and craftsmanship as each piece of clothing has a distinct look and significance. One thing I dislike is people who are quick to judge rather than understand why someone likes what they like.
