This is the second part of the CCR. Answered the next two questions. 3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project? 4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?

CCR Part One

This is the first part of my CCR. 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?

Re-Shoot Blog

So after we all had someone review our film we went on a FaceTime call to discuss what was our issues with the film. We realized we all had the same issue with the film it didn't make sense at certain points throughout the film. So we made up a date on when we all could meet up at Lucas's house to give the film more of a linear progression and less complicated. So when I first got to Lucas's place it was me and him so we decided on where each of the shots was going to take place and with what camera angles we were going to use. So me and Lucas decided to shoot our first shot. The first shot that we shot was of Lucas's character calling up Chris's character to talk on to meet up. The only issue with this shot was that from the location that I was recording. I couldn't pick up what Lucas was saying for the shot. So he had to get his phone at a good location where we could hear what he was saying with the same camera angle. Overall this was an easy shot to shoot an

Peer Review Blog

We decided to get someone we know to peer review our video. As a result, I chose my younger brother Oscar to peer review it. My brother is the type of person who says whatever is on his mind. So I trust his opinion on the video. But before he watched the video. I had to give him a description of what it was about. Just from what I said he seemed displeased. He then told me that it was like other films and not original. This is when I realized that I shouldn't have asked my brother for him to review the video. He going to make me see all the flaws within the film. When he was watching the video I was looking at his facial expression. With only his facial expression I noticed that it wasn't his face of disappointment. But it was more of a face of pleasure. I felt at ease when I noticed that he did somewhat enjoy it. The input he said was that there were some unnecessary scenes in the film that didn't fit. So we are planning on reshooting some new scenes. But we are going to d

Editing Blog: The Final

Image
This is the final part of the editing saga. We got every done for the editing. We all feel very confident about this final product that we did. In this process, we had no issues that messed us up like the first time. However, we did have an issue with the audio mixing. The issue came about when we tried mixing the audio of the song we chose with some dialogue. The result didn't match our expectations, and our attempts at fixing the issue individually proved more challenging than anticipated. It is difficult to balance the audio levels to ensure the dialogue is audible and the background noise is manageable. As a result, we left it in the background noise, which was only slight. But it did teach us something valuable about audio productions. That is that is not just playing with the volume sliders. It's about finding the perfect harmony between different elements while maintaining clarity. We saw to achieve the professional quality. It is all about having practice and trial and

Editing Blog: The Editors

The most tedious process in my opinion. That would be the editing process. My crew decided to divide the work with each of us taking turns editing it. Normally if I was going to work on the video I would do it on Adobe Premiere Pro. But as I am splitting the work with others. We are going to edit on CapCut. CapCut should be straightforward since we all have previous experience with it. I used it to do my first project. Overall it was an easy app to use. It had a lot of useful features in it and it still gets updated. You can also easily share project files, collaborate on edits in real time, and provide feedback to each other within the app. You're bound to get something out of it. The best thing about it is that it's completely free. It's not like Adobe Premiere Pro where you have to pay to use it. With it being free the crew is able to work on it also. By this, they can be able to input their own ideas out there instead of one of us doing it. The whole app of CapCut is go
