My group for the Music Video

For the music video, I already had people in mind when I first heard the idea of the music videos. So I proposed my idea to both of the people that I had in mind, my classmates. Lucas and Christan. I have known both of these guys around the same time. Roughly around 2 years I have known them and I feel like we have a solid connection with one another since we had classes before this. And we do go on out and talk outside of school. Also, I trust them since we did have previous projects we had together. We all know the role we have to play if we ever assign each other a role. If we do assign each other a role we know if we don't do it then we all know we not going to do that to each other. For our song choice, we are doing the Backstreet Boys - I Want it That Way. The reasoning behind choosing this song is that I brought it up. And thought it would be fun if we three dressed up similarly and lip sync to a boy band song. As a joke but it eventually became our main idea as we started adding ideas to it. Then it just stuck to us that we were going to do a boy band. We all have the same ideas for this project. To enjoy ourselves while doing this project. But the song lyrics depict a person expressing confusion and frustration about a romantic relationship. The singer expresses a desire for a relationship to work out despite the differences and challenges they face, emphasizing their longing for things to be the way they want, hence the title "I Want It That Way." For the music video, we going to make sure we do the song justice and follow what original meaning of the song. So I hope the recordings go well and we can get what we incision for it on tape.

Filming Blog: The Film Location

  The big day came of us finally deciding where we would film. We know how we want our shots but the location is the current issue. Our main place where most of the shots going to take place is going to be at Lucas's place. Lucas's place is the most ideal for our group since it's located near our place and has the most space between all of us in the group. Also within his house, is where we recorded the first time around, and personally, I can imagine the different scenes play out within his house. Most of the storyboard was based on his house. The room layout, and the house too. As most of the spots where I want to record are going to be in the dark we are going to see whether we should set up the lighting and if it fits the atmosphere we are going for. As his house is near the beach we are planning to see if there's a way we can incorporate a restaurant or an alleyway near that area since I feel like the shine from the moon nearing the end of the final task would look...

Production blog: Getting the act together

When we first formed our crew of three for the music video I knew it would be hard to schedule. We all have things outside of school like sports or work that we focus on to enjoy ourselves. It's the same inside school since we have schoolwork outside of school that needs to be done alongside other projects. We haven't made a clear decision on what day we will start the filming but we did say we would start this week. Hopefully, we can start the filming process sometime before the week. To at least have some content to start the editing process. I personally think the editing process of the music video is going to take the most time and effort. The editing process for the music video is going to reminisce of the early 2000s. Our group is doing a boy band we took inspiration from the most popular boy bands at the time and we took notes on most things in the music video.
