Research and Planning Blog

For the commercial project, I wanted to show the things that made me into the person I am today. That's why the first photo was from the first ever quince I was in. This was around when I was 12 and didn't know how to dance. When I was practicing for the quince, I was nervous that I would mess up the whole performance. But when the day came, all of my partners I was training with reassured me that we would give it our all for this moment. Even if we did mess up, we still had to pull through for the performance and, most importantly, before anything to enjoy ourselves. If you enjoy yourself, the dance will come out how you want it to. You have to feel the rhythm of the music. On that day, during the group waltz and the surprise dance, I gained a new appreciation for art I thought I wouldn't associate myself with. Looking back, even if I didn't look good at dancing around then, I still appreciate that day for opening a new door in my life, which I love now. My second photo is the first truck I ever worked on, a 1993 GMC Sierra 1500 with my dad. My dad and I spent nearly half a year working on the truck from the ground up. My dad got it for a cheap price and invested a lot of time and money towards it. When we first got it, the truck's body had a ton of dents and was super dirty on the inside from old age. The passenger side mirror was stuck and was missing its side mirror. But my dad and I saw potential in the car. We first started by sanding down the car to get rid of the paint it had on at the time. We went to the junkyard and brought the pieces we needed to finish up the truck. After all the labor work, we were nearing the end of painting the car. My third photo is of my Russell Westbrook jersey alongside Derrick Rose, some of my favorite basketball players. They taught me that you can enjoy anything as long as you have passion for your work and don't let anyone get to you. My final photo is a photo of my shoe collection. It might not be the best collection, but it's the shoes I enjoy wearing out. My first video is one of my beats that I recently made on FL studio and is one of my favorite beats I made so far. The last video is of me driving in the truck that me and my dad worked on right after it got a brand-new paint job and I hold the video very close to me. For the song I chose Day ā€˜Nā€™ Nite by Kid Cudi since it's a song that helped me out when I felt down.
